This world of Curiosities, also known as Curiosities-Shop, is the manifestation of resident designer/photographer Elizabeth Huston. It was born out of her love for all things dark, macabre, fringe, bizarre, gothic, Victorian...well, you get the picture.

Elizabeth Huston has been passionate about creating works of art for as long as she can remember. She grew up in an environment surrounded by creativity, from her mother, who owned and operated a ceramics studio to her grandmother who has been knitting, sewing, and crafting hand-made jewelry for over six decades. Being surrounded by this creative energy as a child, she spent hours in her room designing and creating everything from embellished photo albums to clothing to collages made from Polaroid pictures. Most often, though, you'd find her deconstructing her clothes and re-assembling them as pieces of jewelry.
This artistic flow has blossomed into many facets of her adult life. In the 1990’s she was writing and directing short films, and it was during this time she discovered her love for still photography. Elizabeth spent the next several years focusing on the art of photography. She quickly excelled in this field, working in the music industry and doing commercial work for several bands and record labels.
After years of commercial work, Elizabeth turned to the fine art side of photography.
In September of 2005, she released a collection of her photographic work entitled “Sacred ~ New Orleans Funerary Grounds.” She is currently working on her next collection of work, likely to be released by the years end.
With the success from her first book, Elizabeth decided to take leap of faith, and return to her original source of creative inspiration, jewelry. In 2006, with support from her family and friends, she launched her debut jewelry collection in Los Angeles.
The Curiosities jewelry collection combines dark elegance with a unique, but timeless, style. This collection pays homage to the Gothic, the Victorian, the Spiritual, and the Curious. It combines graceful, classic styles with original, as well as antique, photography from her personal collection.
